According to the Florida Lottery, a lucky lottery player in Florida has won nearly $110,000 after purchasing a Fantasy 5 ticket at a Publix in Sarasota. The winning numbers were drawn during the Sept. 23 evening drawing, and the ticket was sold at the Publix Super Market in the Beneva Village Shoppes.
The winner, whose numbers were randomly generated by the computer, matched all five numbers—9, 13, 17, 31, 34—to claim the top prize of $107,914. Lottery officials stated that the odds of matching all five numbers in Fantasy 5 are 1 in 376,992.
In related news, another unclaimed Fantasy 5 ticket worth more than $110,000 was sold at a Walmart in the Florida Panhandle for the Sept. 19 evening drawing.
Fantasy 5 drawings are held twice daily, offering players multiple chances to win significant cash prizes. Sarasota, where the winning Publix is located, sits on Florida’s scenic Gulf Coast.
