An Upstate man is celebrating a life-changing win of $300,000 after a last-minute decision to buy a lottery ticket he initially passed on.
The man had been at the Lowry Food Mart #2 on Wells Highway in Seneca when a particular lottery ticket caught his eye. Although he considered buying it, he decided to leave the store without making the purchase.
However, the thought of the ticket kept nagging at him. Unable to shake the feeling, he returned to the store later and bought it.
That ticket turned out to be the final top prize winner in the Carolina Cash game, scoring him a whopping $300,000.
With odds of just 1 in 840,000, the man’s persistence paid off in a big way. He revealed that he plans to use his windfall to purchase a new home.
