Twin Cities Lottery Fever: Million-Dollar Winner and More!

In a thrilling turn of events Monday night, a lucky individual from the north metro area has struck gold, securing a $1 million prize in the Powerball draw. This fortunate moment came as the winner matched the first five numbers, missing just the Powerball for the jackpot.

Officials from the Minnesota Lottery revealed that the winning ticket was delivered from Casey’s General Store, located at 7295 University Avenue Northeast in Fridley. This marked a momentous occasion for the store and the winner.

But the luck didn’t stop there; two other residents from the Twin Cities joined the winners’ circle, each bagging $50,000. Their winning tickets emerged from two Kwik Trip locations – 9855 Hart Boulevard in Monticello and 1945 136th Street West in Burnsville. They achieved this feat by matching four of the first five winning numbers and the Powerball. The numbers that turned the tide that Monday night were 19-24-40-42-56 with Powerball 23.

The million-dollar prize holder must go to the Minnesota Lottery Headquarters in Roseville to claim their fortune in person, while the $50,000 winners can claim their prizes through mail or at any lottery office within the state.

Following privacy policies, winners’ identities claiming prizes over $10,000 remain confidential unless they opt for disclosure.

The excitement escalated as the Powerball jackpot soared to an astonishing $1.09 billion, positioning it as the fourth largest in the game’s history, following the absence of a jackpot winner that night. Lottery enthusiasts eagerly await the next draw on Wednesday night, hopeful for their chance at the ever-growing jackpot.
