A 71-year-old Runnells man from Iowa has just claimed a life-changing lottery prize worth $500,000.
Ronald Tate purchased his lucky ticket from a local Casey’s store and, after realizing he had won, quickly gathered his friends. However, he made them promise to keep his win under wraps before revealing the ticket.
Tate, now retired, is still considering how to use the funds, though he’s certain it will improve life for him and his two adult daughters.
So far this year, 13 Iowans have won lottery prizes of $500,000 or more.
