North Georgia Hits a Hot Streak as Players Score Big Wins

Several lottery players across North Georgia are cashing in on a wave of good luck, with prizes stretching from $10,000 all the way up to a hefty $1 million.

A Powerball ticket purchased at a Publix on 1525 Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth delivered the biggest win. The player matched all five white-ball numbers in the Nov. 22 Powerball drawing, securing a $1 million prize.

Another Powerball entrant from Jonesboro claimed $50,000 after hitting four white balls plus the Powerball, using the Georgia Lottery mobile app to buy the winning ticket.

Mobile gameplay paid off again when a Fayetteville resident pocketed $13,929 playing Double Win Quick Win.

In Brookhaven, a Georgia FIVE ticket sold at BP Food & Gas, 2898 Clairmont Road, earned a lucky player the top prize of $10,000 in the Nov. 21 evening drawing.

Lottery officials remind all winners to sign their tickets and verify results through the Georgia Lottery’s official channels.
