A North Carolina man turned a spontaneous prediction into reality when he won a $160,756 prize in the Cash 5 lottery.
Cameron Vick, who has been a UPS driver for 37 years, shared his confident prediction with a fellow worker on his route after purchasing a $1 ticket for the August 20 Cash 5 drawing on the North Carolina Education Lottery’s website.
“It was just a spur-of-the-moment thing,” Vick explained. “I just decided to play out of the blue.”
Vick’s instinct proved right as he hit the $160,756 jackpot that same evening. Excited by his win, he quickly shared the news with a close friend, who was so overwhelmed that he hugged Vick and broke into tears.
Vick plans to use his winnings to take care of some long-overdue home repairs.
