In the latest Mega Millions drawing, no one managed to claim the jackpot by matching all six numbers. However, fortune smiled on two lucky ticket holders from California and Texas, who matched five of the numbers.
In California, one of the winning tickets was purchased at a gas station located on the 400 block of Diablo Rd. in Danville. This ticket is now valued at a hefty $810,362.
Over in Texas, another ticket matched five numbers, rewarding its owner with a cool $1 million prize.
The numbers drawn on Tuesday, July 2, were 4, 8, 19, 31, 45, and the Mega number was 11.
The Mega Millions lottery is a favorite across 45 states, along with the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands, drawing hopefuls dreaming of hitting it big.
