A dedicated lottery player from Massachusetts has finally hit the jackpot, winning a $1 million Mega Millions prize after sticking with the same numbers for two decades.
Thomas Ensko, from Blackstone, told officials from the Massachusetts State Lottery that he has been playing the same set of numbers, linked to his birthday, for the last 20 years. His persistence paid off when he purchased the winning ticket at Anderson’s Variety in Blackstone.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time luck has struck the Ensko family. Thomas was accompanied by his wife to claim the prize, and she had previously won $1 million herself from a scratch-off ticket over 20 years ago.
With his winnings, Ensko plans to support his children and grandchildren, ensuring that his good fortune will benefit future generations.
