A lucky individual in Indianapolis has won $40,000 after purchasing a Mega Millions ticket on Tuesday night.
The winning ticket was bought at GetGo #7547, located at 3301 E. 96th St., near Keystone at the Crossing on the city’s north side. The ticket matched four of the five numbers, plus the Mega Ball, and benefited from a 4X Megaplier boost.
The winning numbers for the August 20 draw were 5, 20, 26, 49, and 51, with the Mega Ball number 24.
The Hoosier Lottery advises the ticket holder to keep the ticket secure, consult with a financial advisor, and contact their customer service at 1-800-955-6886 for claim instructions.
Looking ahead, the Mega Millions jackpot for Friday, August 23, is estimated to be a whopping $527 million.
