A Mega Millions ticket bought in Georgia turned out to be a million-dollar winner, just one number away from claiming the $181 million jackpot.
The lucky ticket, sold at High Falls Market in Jackson, matched five numbers in the Feb. 25 drawing but missed the Mega Ball, earning a $1 million prize, according to the Georgia Lottery.
The winning numbers were 4-8-11-32-52 with Mega Ball 13. The Megaplier was 2x, but the winner did not opt for it. Another $1 million ticket was also sold in Illinois, though no one secured the grand prize.
The next Mega Millions draw is set for Feb. 28, featuring a $197 million jackpot. Winners have 180 days to claim their prizes and are advised to sign the back of their ticket.
Jackson, where the winning ticket was sold, is about 50 miles southeast of Atlanta.
