A lucky Erie County resident recently became a big winner in the Cash 5 with Quick Cash game, claiming a share of a $2.3 million jackpot.
Gary Winner, a 64-year-old from Erie, Pennsylvania, purchased the winning ticket, which was worth $1,162,845. The ticket was sold at the Giant Eagle located at 2501 W. 12th St. in Erie.
The June 9th drawing saw two jackpot-winning tickets, with the second one sold in Butler County. Lottery officials couldn’t help but chuckle, remarking that with a name like Gary Winner, luck was clearly on his side.
This win marks another milestone for the Pennsylvania Lottery, and Gary is now one of the newest big winners in the state.
