Lottery officials in Massachusetts Lottery are urging players to double-check their tickets as two sizable prizes remain unclaimed.
One winning Mass Cash ticket worth $100,000 must be claimed by Jan. 21, 2026. Another ticket, a Powerball prize valued at $50,000, expires a day earlier on Jan. 20, 2026.
The Mass Cash ticket was purchased at West Main Gas & Diesel in Hyannis for the Jan. 20, 2025 drawing. The winning numbers were 10–16–17–18–31.
The Powerball ticket was sold at Morrissey Boulevard Wines & Liquors in Dorchester for the Jan. 18, 2025 drawing. Its numbers were 14–31–35–64–69, with a Powerball of 23, when the jackpot stood at an estimated $329 million.
If neither ticket is claimed before the deadline, the prize money will be returned to cities and towns across Massachusetts, according to lottery rules.
Prizes of up to $103,000 can be redeemed at official claim centers located in Braintree, Dorchester, Lawrence, New Bedford, West Springfield, and Worcester.
Lottery officials often point to near-misses as reminders. Last year, a woman in Chicopee discovered a $100,000 Mass Cash ticket in a junk drawer just days before it expired—prompted by a news report her son had seen.
A Mass Cash ticket costs $1 per play, with odds of 1 in 324,632 to match all five numbers and win the top prize.
Meanwhile, the current Powerball jackpot has climbed to $156 million for Wednesday night’s drawing. Matching four numbers plus the Powerball pays $50,000, with odds of 1 in 913,129.
