A Lucky for Life ticket bought in Chatham County, North Carolina clinched a $5,000 prize in this past Sunday’s lottery drawing.
This winning ticket was sold at Neal’s Gas and Convenience on 52 East St., Pittsboro, and was one of just two tickets statewide to snag the $5,000 prize that evening—the other was purchased in Concord.
The winners achieved their success by matching numbers on four white balls and the gold Lucky Ball. Lucky for Life, a daily game from the North Carolina Education Lottery, offers a top prize of $1,000 a day for life. The next tier down provides $25,000 a year for life, making the $5,000 win the third-highest prize.
The chances of winning the grand prize in Lucky for Life stand at 1 in 30.8 million.
