A Brockton resident has struck it big in the Lucky for Life lottery game, securing a life-changing prize.
Grenerville Allen, from Brockton, won after the first five numbers on his ticket matched those drawn on July 19. The Massachusetts State Lottery confirmed the win in a statement.
Allen’s win entitles him to $25,000 annually for life, but he opted for a lump-sum payment of $390,000 before taxes. He claimed his prize on July 21 at the Massachusetts State Lottery Headquarters in Dorchester.
The lucky winner plans to buy a new truck with his windfall, according to the lottery’s statement.
Allen purchased his winning ticket at Lucky Mart on 2029 Revere Beach Parkway, located in Everett.
