Berks County Strikes Gold: Two Millionaires Minted in Pennsylvania Lottery Wins

In an extraordinary turn of events that’s no jest for April, two fortunate players in Pennsylvania have landed themselves in the millionaire’s club, thanks to the Pennsylvania Lottery.

Berks County has emerged as the lucky locale where both a Powerball ticket and a Match 6 Lotto ticket were purchased, turning dreams into reality with wins exceeding $1 million.

One ticket hit the jackpot for the Powerball draw held on Saturday, March 30, by aligning perfectly with five white balls — 12-13-33-50-52 — missing only the red Powerball 23, to snatch a cool $1 million. The ticket found its home at Paulino’s Deli & Grocery on 555 North 9th St. in Reading, now richer by a $5,000 retailer bonus.

This Powerball drawing was far from a solitary win, with over 167,600 other tickets from the PA Lottery claiming prizes. This includes over 29,400 Power Play and 12,800 Double Play tickets. As anticipation builds, the Powerball jackpot has surged to an eye-watering $1 billion for the upcoming draw.

The winning streak in Berks County didn’t end there. A Match 6 Lotto ticket was a golden ticket for another lucky player, boasting a jackpot of $1,070,000. This was achieved by matching all six winning numbers — 1-5-8-11-13-28 — from the Friday, March 29 drawing. The winning ticket was sold at the Rite Aid on 4630 Perkiomen Avenue in Reading, earning the store a handsome $10,000 bonus.

In addition to the jackpot winner, over 53,300 other Match 6 Lotto tickets also won prizes.

The Pennsylvania Lottery reminds players to check each ticket every time because you never know when luck might strike.
