A Yell County resident in Arkansas has made history by winning a record-breaking $5.123M jackpot during the February 1 LOTTO drawing. This win marks the largest jackpot ever awarded exclusively to an Arkansan.
Although a regular lottery player, the winner revealed that it was his first time trying his luck with LOTTO. His enthusiasm was immediate and overwhelming when he discovered the win.
“What a weekend!” he exclaimed. “When I saw the jackpot was over $5 million, I knew I had to play.” Even his wife was taken aback, remarking that at first, they thought the news must be a hoax.
The couple has kept the big news within a close circle of family and friends. They plan to use their winnings to clear all debts and secure a comfortable retirement.
