The Biggest Lotto America Jackpots

- $22.8 Million – Two siblings decided to share the jackpot prize if they were lucky enough to win playing Lotto America. Debbie and Dennis Kujava had their ticket bought on March 12 for the draw two days later. Debbie checked the Lotto America results in the morning after March 14 to realize they became rich. It was difficult convincing her brother it was not a prank, but they are all happy now.
- $21.6 Million – Jeffrey Love, from the state of Iowa, bought his winning Lotto America ticket in a gas station in Ramsey. When the scan revealed he had won a prize, he could never guess he had more than 20 million dollars saved for him. He checked the ticket and compared it with the Lotto America results almost ten times to make sure he had the jackpot.

- There are nine tiers of prizes available in the Lotto America game.
- Only a total of 13 jurisdictions participate in it.

Lotto America History
Most people do not know the history behind the games they play. Lotto America was only recently relaunched, replacing Hot Lotto. However, it has a much longer history:
- December 1987: The Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) was formed by Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oregon, Rhode Island, Washington D.C., and West Virginia.
- February 1988: The MUSL launched Lotto*America.
- August 1989 – January 1991: Nine other states joined for the game: Delaware, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Minnesota, Montana, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
- April 1992: Lotto*America had its last drawn, and Powerball was launched as a replacement for it.
- November 2017: Lotto America was relaunched, replacing Hot Lotto. The new version counted with Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Minnesota, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
The final Hot Lotto jackpot, which had not been won, became the first draw of Lotto America, with a prize of $15 million. - June 2020: After June 13, the starting jackpot of $2,000,000 and the minimum roll were adjusted to follow sales and interest rates.
