Illinois Pick 4 History

Illinois Pick 4 has faced some changes in its drawings and features since its creation almost 40 years ago:

• 1982 – Debut of the Pick 4 game with drawings on Tuesdays and Fridays only. 
• 1984 – Two years after its debut, Pick 4 begins to have six drawings per week, starting on August 27. 
• 1985 – On March 9, the game begins to have drawings every day of the week. Then, in December, it was the first time that the Pick 4 game received Advance Play and Quick Pick features.
• 1993 – On December 20, midday drawings are added from Monday through Saturday.
• 2010 – Introduction of the Sunday midday drawings. 
• 2013 – Fireball started to be offered from September 1.
